This course will explore ways to dive deeper into social-emotional learning strategies and learning to increase student well-being and academic achievement. This course is a follow-up to An Introduction to Social Emotional Learning. While it is not a prerequisite to have taken the introductory course to take this one, this course will continue the discussions and learning that took place in the first course. Throughout this course, you will learn additional practical ways to integrate strategies to increase social-emotional learning in your daily instructional practices. Through the presentation of practical techniques as well as resources for accessing cutting edge ideas and tools, you will increase your ability to develop and maintain a classroom that is well managed, and where students understand and utilize skills such as self-awareness and self-management to maintain a well-managed and an academically rigorous environment.
